This program is rooted in techniques from yoga alignment,  breath work, earth medicine and sports science. It is the foundation for Hoop Core and Kids Hoop Warriors. Guided imagery and re-centering techniques while waist hooping, instill the Earths 4 elemental forces into the mind and body. This enhances ones connection to their true nature and leaves one radiating with life force energy.                                                            HOOPCORE DOWNHILL

Coaches can teach or hire Betty for this program.                                                                                                                                                                                       HoopCore Downhill is a cross training program specifically designed for skiers and snowboarders. Betty uses techniques from sports science, physical therapy structural analysis and correction, basic chiropractic, body work and yoga alignment.  What makes this program most effective is her years of snowboarding and Hoop Boarding.   She teaches way beyond the average body mechanics, and cross training that most coaches use.  The program is broken down into a series of isometrics and plyometric movements while using the hoop on the waist and the arms. The momentum of the hoop, combined with isolating and then integrating all the muscle groups used in downhill sports, offers a unique and effective way for athletes to train.

PROGRAM INCLUDES                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Green:  Top 5 in 5 (Structural Analysis and correction within 5 minutes) 3 Part Theory, Belly Pump Method, Hoop Core Basics                                                                       Blue: Exercises while waist hooping, include; running in place, running forward, initiating turns in the same and opposite direction as the hoop. This brings mobility into hips and core muscles while stabilizing the lower and upper body.  The hoop is used to simulate the downhill acceleration. The athlete will learn where true core thrust is needed while keeping an edge. They will develop better core extension out through the legs for better balance.                                                                        Black: Exercises while waist hooping, include; jumping, turning and lunging. The athlete will now begin to stabilize the core through mastering the Belly Pump Method, while mobilizing the upper and lower body. This will keep them balanced, centered and save energy in their endurance muscles, while practicing actual downhill movements.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Slalom: Exercises will train the athlete to keep a downhill line easier by tuning into heel and toe edges while thrusting from the transverse abs.                             Terrain Park: The hoop will now be used on the arms. This simulated thrust while jumping, spinning and all rotational and lateral movements while downhill.
